FAQ

Find answers about our materials, custom design process, timelines, shipping, and returns.

1. What materials do you use?

Most Arlina Jewelry pieces are crafted in solid 14K gold. Solid 18K gold may be available for select custom designs. The metal, finish, and other specifications will always be identified on the product page or confirmed in your written custom quote.

2. What types of gemstones do you offer?

Depending on the design, we may work with natural gemstones, natural or lab-grown diamonds, moissanite, and selected simulated stones such as cubic zirconia. The stone type will be clearly identified in the product description or custom quote so that a lab-created or simulated stone is never represented as natural.

3. How does the custom design process work?

Begin by submitting your idea, inspiration image, preferred metal or gemstone, budget, and desired timing through our Custom Jewelry page. We will review your request, recommend the appropriate design path, and confirm the specifications, quote, estimated timeline, deposit, and any applicable design fee in writing. When needed, you will receive a product image, design preview, or CAD rendering for approval before production begins.

4. Can I use my own gemstone?

Yes, customer-owned gemstones may be considered for a custom project. Please submit clear photos and all available details through the custom request form. The stone must be reviewed and approved before we can confirm whether it is suitable for the requested design and setting.

5. Is a CAD design required, and how much does it cost?

A new CAD design is not required for every project. If one is needed, the design fee starts at $250. The exact amount will be based on the complexity of your design, confirmed in writing, and collected before CAD work begins.

6. Is a deposit required for custom orders?

An applicable deposit will be confirmed after the design, quote, and estimated timeline are approved. Deposits become non-refundable once design, CAD, material sourcing, alteration, or production has started. Any remaining balance must be paid before shipment.

7. Can I change the design after approval?

Please request changes before providing final approval. Changes requested after approval may not be possible and may require a revised quote, additional design fees, and a longer production timeline.

8. How long will my order take?

Ready-made, in-stock items are typically processed within 2–5 business days. Semi-custom orders usually require 10–15 business days, and fully custom orders usually require 15–25 business days after final specifications or CAD approval and the applicable deposit. Complex projects may require additional time. All timelines are estimates and do not include carrier transit time.

9. Where do you ship?

Arlina Jewelry currently ships within the United States from California. Orders over $75 qualify for complimentary standard shipping. Available tracking information will be emailed after the order ships.

10. Do you accept returns or exchanges?

Eligible ready-made, in-stock items purchased through arlinajewelry.com may be returned when a request is submitted through the customer account within 30 calendar days of delivery. Items must be unworn, unused, undamaged, and returned with the original packaging, tags, and proof of purchase. For hygiene reasons, earrings are not returnable once received unless they arrive damaged, defective, incorrect, or there is another verified Arlina Jewelry fulfillment error.

Custom, semi-custom, personalized, engraved, resized, altered, and special-order pieces are final sale. Verified manufacturing defects or errors by Arlina Jewelry will be reviewed individually. Please see our Shipping & Returns page for complete details.

11. How can I determine my ring size?

For the most accurate fit, have your finger professionally measured by a local jeweler before ordering or approving a custom design. If you need guidance, please contact us before final approval. Resized or altered pieces are considered final sale once the alteration has started.

12. Is solid 14K gold suitable for sensitive skin?

Solid 14K gold is generally well tolerated, but individual metal sensitivities vary. Please contact us before ordering if you have a known allergy or sensitivity so we can discuss the available options.

13. How is my jewelry packaged?

Each order is presented in elegant Arlina Jewelry packaging suitable for gifting and includes a thank-you card.
